On May 17, 2023, Daron Acemoglu delivered keynote remarks on Power and Progress: Our Thousand-Year Struggle, and was joined by co-author Simon Johnson, Brian Chen of Data & Society, Virginia Doellgast of Cornell University, and Kathryn Zickuhr of the Washington Center for Equitable Growth for a panel discussion on how economic and political institutions shape technology’s role in work.

This event was part of “Equitable Growth Presents: Evidence for a Stronger Economy,” a lecture series hosted by the Washington Center for Equitable Growth.
