David Hémous

Visiting Scholar

David Hémous is the UBS foundation Associate Professor of Economics of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Zurich and an Affiliated Professor at the UBS Center. He holds a PhD degree from Harvard University and was previously an Assistant Professor at INSEAD. His research interests focus on Economic Growth, Macroeconomics, Environmental Economics and International Trade. In particular, he has worked on the role of innovation in the design of climate change policies, the relationship between automation and income distribution, and the causes of the rise of top income inequality. He was granted an ERC grant to study automation and received the European Award for Researchers in Environmental Economics under the Age of 40.
